It is possible to view single entities and their details. However, there are no views that show the relationship between our archetype entities.
There are 3 types of Entities
Manuscript Witness
This is often just referred to as the 'Manuscript'. It is a real world parent document which often has some form of authoritative digital surrogate. An example of this is a IIIF Manifest or even a T-PEN Manifest. Within this document are the appearances of Glosses. Sentences throughout the document (fragments) are identified and connected to a registered Gloss. When viewing Manuscript details it would be nice to know what digital surrogate sources make up the text content for this document, which Glosses appear throughout that content, and which witness fragments have been created from that content.
Gloss
Sometimes referred to as a 'named gloss'. This Gloss is a phrase which is noted as a common recurring phrase across kin text content (even if each occurrence is worded in a slightly different way). A Gloss can be identified via a Witness Fragment and is often repeated across many different Manuscript Witnesses. When viewing Gloss details it would be nice to know which Manuscript Witnesses it appears in and what instances of text led to the match (what the text of the Witness Fragments that reference this Gloss are).
Witness Fragment
A particular selection of text from a digital surrogate source of a Manuscript Witness. This will most often be viewed from within the context of a Gloss or a Manuscript Witness. When viewing Witness Fragment details it would be nice to know which Gloss it references and which Manuscript Witness it appears in. Note there is no individual interface for Witness Fragment details, and in general they do not appear anywhere in the public site at the time of creating this issue.
