Hello, maybe you read this message, I introduce myself, my name is Mijael, I am from the city of Cusco in Peru, I love everything about pokemon and the generation 2 pokemon games are very good, and your game is the best that I play. It made me feel the desire for adventure again, as I said, maybe don't read this message, it was to ask you a favor although maybe you can't do it, and I'm a fan of bug type pokemon and my favorite pokemon is scizor, and I always try to play in my adventures with a shiny one, and I wanted to know if you could use its green color again, I would like to be able to have that adventure with the green scizor, from the bottom of my heart I ask you and I also wish you the best, your game is a dream come true, greetings from Cusco Peru

Will need @Rangi42 to determine if we want to revert back to green or not... Its intentional to be a silver color... Although mention of a purple/pink color sounds wrong. I suspect, we will keep it the current color.

Hi! I'm glad you're enjoying Polished Crystal. ^^ Shiny Scizor is intentionally silver, but if you want to change that, edit gfx/pokemon/scizor/shiny.pal to have the green colors from its original pokecrystal file and rebuild the ROM. (Feel free to ask for help with that in the Discord #questions if you need any!)

(Given that silver is a netural/grayish color with all RGB channels similar, the IV-based "color variation" could make shiny Scizor look tinted like just about any color, including pink. Regular Geodude also has this "problem"/quirk; I'm okay with rocks and metals looking colorful like in real life. :P )

@Rangi42 Rangi42 closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Jan 24, 2025
