Log file shows: Try refresh failed. Retry count (6) exceeded.
Sensor validation failed.

Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries?

Hit save (CTRL-S) and it will go away.

I didn't work for me, but you know what did work? uninstalling the program and manually removing the whole "C:\Program Files (x86)\FanControl" folder, basically starting fresh.
