xdg-autostart runs before spawn-at-startup/xwayland-satellite

Hi,

I'm having trouble with Remmina in combination with xwayland-satellite and I hope someone can help :-)

I have Remmina set up to autostart using a .destop file in ~/.config/autostart:

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Remmina Applet
Comment=Connect to remote desktops through the applet menu
Icon=org.remmina.Remmina
Exec=remmina -i

Type=Application

Also I have xwayland-satellite start up in my niri config:

spawn-at-startup "xwayland-satellite"

Both commands work (i.e. Remmina and xwayland-satellite are running) but Remmina seems to start before the X Display is available. This means that my keyboard is not working as supposed in RDP sessions and I have to restart Remmina. Writing this I actually just got the idea to just move remmina-startup to my niri config. I'll try this and update again :-)

To do this reliably I'm afraid you need to make a systemd service for xwayland-satellite that waits for its startup notification, then order the Remmina service to start after the xwayland-satellite service.

Or I guess just spawn-at-startup with a short sleep via sh -c.

Moving autostart from xdg to niri did not change anything. So I guess it's not related to xdg after all but rather a timing problem of xwayland-satellite not being ready when remmina starts. Has anyone got a tip for that? I'll probably just disable autostart completely for now.
