It looks like an older version of the documentation is located here: https://adafruit-minimqtt.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api.html
Unfortunately, Google (at least for me) is returning this older version when I search for adafruit_minimqtt.

The docs are correct here: https://docs.circuitpython.org/projects/minimqtt/en/latest/api.html

Adafruit recently changed over to host the documentation on their own website, which is what you're seeing. :) Hopefully Google will start indexing circuitpython.org results higher!

Does it make sense to either remove the old docs entirely or replace them with a redirect?

I've brought this up in the #circuitpython-dev channel on Discord, it may be something deeper. Thanks for bringing it up!

@tekktrik Is this still a valid issue? What is the resolution of the discussion from Discord?

It's technically still valid, and I don't think there was a resolution. It should be relatively easy for someone with appropriate RTD permissions such as @tannewt or @kattni to delete the non-self-hosted duplicate, but since I can't I think it's worth getting their opinion(s), and help doing so if we choose to fix it.
