Amp-brightcove video controls are not working as expected

Description

I am using a combination of amp-img, amp-video and amp-brightcove to display image, normal video and brightcove video for the amp story. The controls for amp-video is getting synced and whatever actions like play/pause mute/unmute is performed from the amp-story it controls the video and performs the same action. But when I try to do the same action for brightcove videos there the actions are not performed and the execution is not working as expected.

Reproduction Steps

I am including the codepen link for the sample implementation of the above mentioned scenario. Can you please take a look on that and let me know if anything missed from my end or what will the steps to make the action performed based on my expectation.
