I have read some discussion about Bottles and Bottles Next not sharing the flatpak handle or whatever it is called and remembered this old issue: #356
I presume the logo issue was resolved, but the "unfortunate" name remained.
I think that Bottles Next is a great point to consider a rename especially because under the hood it can still use the same things that current Bottles uses - dependencies, components, programs.
This way there can be two programs and old Bottles can keep everything it worked on including the whole Flatpak and it's fame.
The rename can also lead to better searchability in search engines since bottles is just a common english word (well, it matches the GNOME philosophy, but that's horrible to search for - try searching for "Files" and see where Nautilus pops up).
So yeah, that's just my 2 cents on the Bottles Next. Anyway, really looking forward to try it whenever it drops.
