Sunset Overdrive graphical glitch on amd RX 7900xtx #4565
Comments
You can try the build below see if that solves it. |
@jrugia Thanks for trying to save me the effort of having to post that over and over again. But that bug only impacts D3D9 (and 8) games and Sunset Overdrive uses D3D11. |
Did a few searches around and the PCgamingwiki entry too. @Vevo999 Have you tried to disable Depth of field? Apparently it was fixed in an Nvidia driver (Windows) back in 2021 but unconfirmed for AMD. Maybe you can try to spoof the GPU as an Nvidia one? |
@Vevo999 Do you have to be in a specific spot to reproduce this? I haven't seen it so far on either AMD or Intel doing some testing on Windows. Edit: Oh you tried both on Linux and Windows. Missed that |
Does "Windows" imply DXVK or native D3D11 here? |
This happens when I access the inventory to choose a weapon in some cutscenes and in the mission: Bad Medicine (which is very noticeable), it happens on both Windows and Linux (Nobara 40, Bazzite, Ubuntu Gamingpack, Cachyos, Chimeraos) and it only happens in this game, in other games everything runs normally. |
Whether disabled or enabled the problem persists.
|
Can you provide a save game where it reproduces easily? |

Hello community, how are you? I have a problem with the Sunset Overdrive game. In the video below I show what is happening here, both on Linux and Windows. It has something to do with the RX 7900xtx driver. I have tried every way to fix it.
