Software information

Upgrading DXVK from 2.5.1 to 2.5.2 breaks running Civ 4 Beyond the Sword, with the textures in the game becoming weird and broken. See screenshot at the bottom. Downgrading back to 2.5.1 fixed my problem.

The game is invoked as:
wine Civ4/Beyond\ the\ Sword/Civ4BeyondSword.exe

Probably already fixed on master, this is like issue number 50 about this. There's a known regression that breaks all games using fixed function.

IIRC this is one of those d3d9 SM1 games, but SM1 was affected as well, so yes, it is fixed now.

@ddpasa You can check with this build: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/actions/runs/12612108394/artifacts/2386041993

Thanks! In that case we can probably close this. If I have time, I'll try to build dxvk from source.
