Recently updated GDS guidelines say not to use inputmode="decimal" https://design-system.service.gov.uk/components/text-input/#asking-for-decimal-numbers

It looks like certain Samsung Android tablets in particular are the issue, especially where Samsung's own browser is used. alphagov/govuk-design-system#1279 (comment)
Look at doing a quick verification of the findings and then making sure teams follow the new guidance.
