Chat API deprecated by Facebook, Any Alternatives?

Hello,
The Chat API (chat.facebook.com) will no longer be available, what can we use instead ?

Maybe another chat thing? XMPP? SMS? Google Hangouts? IRC?

I think it's not appropriate cause this software has been written with
the specific purpose to reach internet trough facebook, in situation
where you have only access to facebook's services.
Perhaps, since the api will be closed, we can start thinking toward an
integration of openvpn+browsers extensions.

This doesn't use the chat api. It's using cURL and pretending to be a firefox browser to make requests to the mobile website's messenger app. See here:

This is the firefox user agent
This is the login process, using the actual website
This is the process for sending a message

It's all completely driven by a sort of headless browser using cURL.
