Confusion with intended browser support

I noticed there is a difference between what browsers are claimed to be supported in docs and what browsers are targetted with Browserslist.

1. Web view support

Alternative browsers which use the latest version of WebKit, Blink, or Gecko, whether directly or via the platform’s web view API, are not explicitly supported.

See docs; emphasis mine.

2. Docs vs. Browserslist

Current support table in docs could be translated to the following Browserslist config (using versions from current .browserslistrc):

# Desktop

Firefox >= 60
Edge >= 60

As of now, actual .browserslistrc contains this:

The thing is this part of config:

My question is: Are the alternative browsers supported "silently"? Or is it like "browsers technically supported" > "browsers we test in" > "browsers claimed to be supported"? Or is it just an unwanted inconsistency between docs and config?
