Technical diving is full of weird terminology. Here's some defitions and the acronym decoder ring.

| Jersy up-line | A large reel/line tool by which a diver can moore to a bottom-point and surface with a tether. Used for ascents from wrecks or other geography in rough seas. |
| Jon line | Used to attach a diver to a mooring (or drop-) line that may move up and down in the water column. Made from a hook; a piece of webbing, canvas, or line; and a shackle. Allows for comfortable deco on lines in rough seas. |
