Washed out Desktop Mode, if HDR is activated in Game Mode #2091
Comments
seeing same thing on HTPC with 7900xt and 5700x3d. What is desired outcome here, that KDE HDR enables when gamemode HDR enables? |
When hdr is enabled on both modes it should not have washed out colours on desktop mode

I'm having this exact same issue. Running on a PC in game mode / HTPC. Connected to an LG OLED TV as well over HDMI. I have a 6750 XT 12GB, happy to give more info if that helps. If I disable and reenable HDR or reboot it usually fixes it. |
Same issue here but with a 6700S dGPU. I am connected via HDMI to my 4K TV. First time I noticed it was after the December 3rd Steam update. After reboot it was washed out. I only did it a few days ago. |
Describe the bug
Hey guys! I have a LG C1 TV connected to my 6800xt via HDMI. If I enable HDR in Game Mode and switch to Desktop Mode, the image is grey and washed out (Desktop HDR set to 'off' in KDE settings). If I toggle HDR off in Game Mode, Desktop Mode is working correctly again. The same problem happens if I connect my TV via a 'Cable Matters' Displayport to HDMI adapter. Nobara 40 does not seem to have this kind of problem. Any ideas?
