Do we need web archive ? couldnt we just change changelogtemplate with this :

+1 for switching to the release note link instead. The docs are taken down, but the release notes for older versions still remain published.

https://docs.saltproject.io/en/master/topics/releases/__LATEST__.html is probably better, since we don't have to update the highest major version that way.
